Ribbon Tying and t-shirt designing for 2002

 

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  One way we show empathy for the victims of domestic violence is by tying purple ribbons around trees and telephone poles and anything else that looks like a good candidate.  In the images below, students are shown helping us decorate the town with purple ribbons.

In 2002, we also had a contest that students participated in to design a t-shirt supporting the elimination of domestic violence.  The winning design was put on all types of shirts and sold to raise funds to support the victims of domestic violence.
