Special Thanks To:

Fall 2009 Students from Michigan Technological University as part of the Business Problem Solving Class taught by Professor Theresa Woods. The students assignment was to find an organization or business that was in need of help in any business related problem and propose and enact (if applicable) a solution. The shelter home was contacted and subsequently the students managed to raise over $1500 to assist in purchasing new furniture for the shelter home and help to spread awareness. 

The shelter home would like to say a special thank you to:

Team "Light of Hope"- Dennis Brown, Andrew Summerhill, Bowen Tong, Jamie Palmer, Ashli Sneigowski, and Jonathan LaPlant.

Jessie Hannon the owner of NV Hair Salon in Houghton Michigan and her friends who hosted a fundraiser called "Haircuts for Hope" raising over $500 for the shelter home.

Jason Van Straten and Eagle Radio for helping advertise the fundraising events.

Econo Foods and Wal-mart who allowed the team to host events at their stores in Houghton Michigan

Michigan Technological University who allowed the team to host a bake sale which netted over $250.

The L'Anse Furniture Mart who gave the shelter home their furniture nearly at cost.
